The Hunger Games
So, I just finished the last book of the Hunger Games. The books were really good, don't get me wrong... but I did NOT like the ending! Now, I know there are probably a lot of people that do like it, but it was kinda depressing for me! Here's the part where I should say why I didn't like it, but I don't want to ruin it for anybody... so I won't say anything. I just wanted to get that out there though. Ugh!!! Well... better go to bed now! Peace out! :)

Working Out
"I like to work out 3 times a day--morning, afternoon, and night. That way, by the end of the day, my caloric intake is equal to my caloric outtake. :)"
That's what I said at the gym the other night.. haha. So maybe I was exaggerating just a little bit... BUT this semester I've had some great motivation so far. While I've always loved working out, I haven't always had the best motivators for getting out there and being consistent with my workouts. There's always room for change though, right? Well I would say so, because that's what's been happening this semester. I've been consistent and have been actually getting out there with enthusiasm instead of looking at it as a chore. And although it might still be a chore in a way, it's one of those that you look forward to doing. :)
I'm the kind of person that likes having someone go with me to work out. My roommates have been doing pretty great on that end thus far. We don't let each other slack off. Besides that, I like to think of what Elder D. Todd Christofferson said recently in a CES Fireside: GET THROUGH THE DAY. Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Who knows if there will be a tomorrow? Our faith says there will be, but will you even be here for it? You can always just make it through the day.
I like to relate that to working out. Maybe it didn't really make sense to you--and it just seemed like rambling on my part, but at least it makes sense to me! Have a nice day! (And don't forget to treat your body to a work out.)

Scavenger Hunt
Haha! Hey guys! Just thought I should try to update a LOT sooner than I managed to last 2 times I wrote. :) Last night my roommate Celeste and I hosted a double-date. We all made dinner together-rice and stroganoff- and then went on a video-picture scavenger hunt, which was SO fun. Just so you know :) haha.
Here are the things that were on the list:
1. Sitting in a restaurant with an unknown family.
2. Kissing a statue in the gardens.
3. Be pushed around in a shopping cart.
4. Climb the water tower (if not possible, revert to a tree).
5. Get a ring from a gumball machine.
6. Find the strangest or most creative spot on campus & steal a hug from your date.
7. Get a picture trying to make a star with your bodies.
8. Take a picture in a porta-potty.
9. Do an interpretive dance depicting a painting in the Spori.
10. Make up a bedtime story intended for the other couple--be creative!
THAT was a lot of fun! My date and I won by at least 15 mintues--even though we got pulled over by a cop for forgetting to turn on our headlights! HA! ;)
After we were all home from the scavenger hunt, we all ate dessert--Dude's chocolate cake, a from-scratch recipe that's been in my family for a long time ( i think it originated from Germany ). Anyways, it was SOO good! Love that cake! Haha... And during the date in our down time where food was cooking we played guitar and ukulele to entertain each other. It turned out to be one of the funnest dates i've been on. No joke. :)
Good times. Hope everyone is doing well! :) I'll try to post pictures later when I get a copy of them from my date.

Another New Beginning

I swear I'm a terrible writer... seriously. It yet again another new semester at BYU-Idaho for me. The new BYU-Idaho Center has been dedicated and is now in full-swing.
I'm still getting all my classes situated even though it's been over a week of school now. I had to drop my Microbiology (BIO221) class yesterday, and I replaced it with a Health Communications (HS472) only to find out today that I don't even need to take that class. Oh brother.... So it also turns out that the last day to drop and add classes was, of course, yesterday. This is where my problem started...
I did happen to email a few other teachers yesterday to see if I could get into their class before I added the HS472 class, unfortunately the ones that wrote back said their classes were full. Today I got the email from the professor for Kinesiology (HS365) saying he could authorize me to add his class if I did it right away. Well, turned out he sent it yesterday... just my luck, right? Sooo, after about a million phone calls today telling me there wasn't anything I could do now, I decided to go to the Student Records & Registration office to talk to someone. I think I should have just gone there in the first place, because you know what? The secretary there saved my life! She said I could still get in, the only thing is that the teacher has to authorize you to add the class! You know, I could have prevented a future gray hair if someone had just told me that in the first place! Haha. ;)
Anyways, so all is good now and I just have to go to my new class tomorrow. My hope is that I haven't managed to miss too much and the stuff he started off with wasn't too difficult. Yay for Kinesiology! =P
Other than school stuff, life is just great! I love love love my new ward. Everyone I've met so far has just been marvelous and very welcoming. :)I've been given great roommates, once again. We are constantly cracking each other up. ;) Haha. I'm still living the single life-yay me! Right? Eh, i'm not really too worried about it though. As long as I'm trusting in the Lord, when the right guy comes along I will know! :) -Plus, I love my state-of-mind concerning men. It keeps me happy! "If something doesn't work out with one guy, there's obviously someone better out there for me!" ...DUH! Isn't that how it always is? ;)
Moving on to family life... as far as I know, my family is just doing great! I love them all so much... We're sent to our families for a reason, so we better learn to live with it! My dad joined the military about 2 1/2 years ago to be a doctor for the Army--as well as continuing to be a doctor for his other jobs [Working at an urgent care clinic in Twin Falls, ID, working in the Jerome Emergency Room, and occasionally still flying up to Montana to work shifts in the Libby ER--where we used to live (and where I went to high school at!)]. He is currently in Iraq until the end of March working on an Air Base. So far he really likes it, and everything is going well. We get to talk to him on Skype quite often, so it's not so bad. Of course we'll be happy when he gets home though. :)
Porter and Celeste are leaving us soon though! And that makes me sad... :( Coming this summer, they will be packing up to move to Canada--where Celeste is originally from, and where Porter served his mission. I will miss them a TON, but hey... if it's right, I'm all for it! :)
Well, I think i've said enough for now. I hope everyone is doing well! Until next time... =)
